Arrow Valley has 24 years of breeding these wonderful horses, I have had some beauties come and go. The decision to breed Andalusians was an easy choice as they are so versatile with pure bloodlines and an unsurpassed willingness to please. Bred for pleasure, dressage and bull fighting there isn't much they can't do and surely this is where the quarter horse originally got his cow sense. Our horses are raised in a natural setting with acres of area to roam and play, helping them become aware of herd dynamics and the pecking order. There are now four mares at the farm, all chosen for qualities which will garner the integrity of the breed and keep these important bloodlines going. Beauty, mind, athletic ability, versatility and conformation all play important roles in the acquisition of our horses. Six years ago a decision was made to start raising some dark horses and a black stud colt was purchased from Maria Mandina in Florida. We now have several of Nio's foals around the country and some still here at the ranch. This was a great horse to get as he has near perfect conformation and a mind second to none. His foals are as much fun and easy to work with as he is. The sales of our horses spread across the continent with all satisfied buyers. The ranch offers accommodation for persons interested in acquiring horses or just for a holiday. Browse through our site and see what we have to offer. Visitors are always welcomeT h e A n d a l u s i a n H o r s e The Andalusian horse is one of the
oldest pure breeds of horse in the world. Canadian Andalusians are a
rarity. In 2003 there are approximately 350 registered in Canada. Though
still a unique breed in the U.S., their population in this country has
risen to around 5,400. The total number of Andalusian (Lusitano) horses
registered with IALHA in 2003 is 7,289 purebred, 2,898 part-bred.
